Decisions of the Parliamentary Ombudsman to be published in Finlex from 1 October

Decisions of the Parliamentary Ombudsman of Finland will also be available in Finlex from 1 October 2026. The reform improves the discoverability of the decisions and facilitates their use in legal information retrieval.

From 1 October 2026, the Ombudsman's decisions will be available in Finlex, the public and free online service for legal materials. All decisions published by the Parliamentary Ombudsman will be available in Finlex.

The reform improves the discoverability and accessibility of the Ombudsman's decisions. Finlex is Finland's principal online legal information service and contains legislation, case law, decisions of public authorities and other legal materials.

The publication of decisions on the Ombudsman's own website will continue unchanged. Decisions can therefore continue to be searched and browsed both on the Ombudsman's website and in the online service Finlex.fi.

Finlex is owned by the Ministry of Justice and maintained by the Legal Register Centre.
