Deputy-Ombudsman Susanna Lindroos-Hovinheimo
The Deputy Parliamentary Ombudsman is Susanna Lindroos-Hovinheimo, Doctor of Laws and Master of Laws with court training.
Lindroos-Hovinheimo took on the role of Deputy-Ombudsman on 1 April 2026.
Before this, Lindroos-Hovinheimo acted as Professor of Public Law at the University of Helsinki. She has previously worked in roles such as Referendary Counsellor at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice and researcher at the University of London.
Lindroos-Hovinheimo has wide-ranging expertise in constitutional law, EU regulation, legal theory and administrative law. Her research has recently focused particularly on regulating digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
